A series of beautifully illustrated children’s readers introducing Chinese characters, supported by pinyin, using engaging stories that are based around the everyday themes of school, family, and playtime. This series incorporates Rebus images to help expand the story themes beyond the set scope and sequence.

Students begin with the comprehensive Starter Level involving three types of Reader: Teacher Read, We Read (Big Books), and Student Readers. As students develop their knowledge, the series provides more complex and exciting stories using existing and new vocabulary.

The learning spirals upwards through Levels 1 – 8, with three books in each unit across all levels. The same vocabulary is used across each to ensure repetition and a variety of contexts to reinforce learning outcomes.
