The New HSK Course 2 Workbook is a companion book for the New HSK Course 2, serving to supplement, extend, and support the content of the Textbook.  The New HSK Course 2 Workbook (hereinafter referred to as the “Workbook”) is a companion book for the New HSK Course 2 (hereinafter referred to as the “Textbook”), serving to supplement, extend, and support the content of the Textbook.

This Workbook comprises three components: “Study”, “Practice”, and “Test”. The “Study” component provides supplementary learning materials related to the Textbook; the “Practice” component offers intensive exercises aligned with the learning content and the HSK exam formats; and the “Test” component features assessment exercises centered around the HSK exam.
Based on this framework, the compilers have designed three major sections: “Xiaoyu’s Classroom”, “Simulated Practice”, and “Mock Test”.

The “Xiaoyu’s Classroom” section enhances Chinese character recognition, writing skills, and word/phrase formation awareness. Within this section, the first sub-section introduces radicals and guides students in meaningful writing, while the second sub-section builds on learned words to expand vocabulary.

The “Simulated Practice” section integrates HSK question types with post-lesson assessments. It presents diverse question types and a moderate volume of exercises to evaluate the learning outcomes of each lesson.

The “Mock Test” section provides a complete HSK Level 2 practice exam upon the completion of all Level 2 content, intended for comprehensive assessment.
Teachers and learners are advised to use this Workbook alongside the Textbook to systematically coordinate teaching and learning progress.
