Founder and Publisher of Mandarin Matrix, David has many years of publishing experience at a senior level. Prior to forming Mandarin Matrix he was Managing Director of Edinburgh Financial Publishing Asia from 1996 to 1999. Before working in publishing he served in the Royal Navy between 1983 and 1993.
Over the past 5 years, Dan has been involved designing and delivering a variety of education and language learning programs for youth and adults through his consulting company Economic Bridge.
Educated at the University of Utah and Tsinghua University in Beijing, Dan lived, studied and worked in Beijing for almost 10 years, learning Mandarin and founding several companies during that time.
Dan is excited to accelerate the path to fluency for young learners with Mandarin Matrix.
Dan runs the Mandarin Matrix North American operations and office in Salt Lake City, Utah.
An educator of young children for over a decade, Brinn has been involved as a classroom teacher, teacher trainer, curriculum developer, and pioneer in Mandarin Immersion programs in the US and Singapore. Graduating from Utah State University in Elementary Education, she is thrilled to be able to help both students and teachers find joy and success learning Mandarin.
Aisling is originally from Northern Ireland. Her career as a Food Technologist and latterly as Procurement Manager for several FTSE listed companies changed direction in 2008 when she relocated to Hong Kong. She has recently been promoted to Chief Operations Officer for Mandarin Matrix
Ann’s degree in English literature and experience in comparative education provides a solid grounding for developing compelling stories that children and teens can identify with and that teachers can trust is pedagogically sound. Ann is an American who has lived in China and Hong Kong for 23 years.
Andrea is a Chinese culture enthusiast. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Language Studies and a Master’s degree in Applied English Linguistics. The challenges of writing children’s readers are what made her job interesting. She always try to make Chinese learning easy and fun. Jenny is a seasoned PR and comms professional with over 10 years of experience in the healthcare sector. Born and brought up in Hong Kong until she was 8 years old, Jenny is now enjoying seeing her young children beginning their Chinese learning journey. Jenny has a BA (Hons) in Mandarin Chinese and Management studies from University of Durham, which included a year of study at the Renmin University of China, Beijing.
Liz has worked with schools around the world for a number of years. She has good understanding of different the education systems and curriculums. Charles has had the chance to work in China, the United States, Hawaii and Hong Kong which has included launching a hospitality business in China and acting as marketing supervisor for a stationary trading company.
